Introducing The Welcome Mat

My name is Shelly and, as a newer resident of the Eastern Panhandle and Team Manager to the #1 RE/MAX Real Estate Team in WV, I have decided to write a semi weekly blog. I will focus on my personal experience in moving across country, what tips and tricks I found useful, and ways to make the buying and selling process less stressful. While I’m not a licensed realtor (I happen to know a great agent that I can recommend!) and I won’t answer specific real estate questions, I will share my moving experiences, along with community happenings in the Eastern Panhandle.

Moving to a new area can be exciting, stressful, and scary. My experience moving to Martinsburg, WV was no different. My family and I were hesitant upon hearing about an upcoming job transfer. Would I be able to find employment? What’s the area like? How will we find a sense of community? How do you find a home from across the country? All these and many more questions will be the topic of my blog.

I look forward to sharing my personal experiences with you and your family and, regardless of the reason for your move, I hope to highlight this great community that my family has chosen to call home.
