Christmas tree balls and beads

Happy Holidays

The holiday season is in full swing and I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and is getting ready for Christmas! In our last post, we discussed finding the perfect community to live in that suites the needs for your family. I have really debated what I wanted to write about concerning moving but I can’t bring myself to talk about moving. I LOVE Christmas and the holidays and thought I would spend some time looking at the different holiday activities here in the Eastern Panhandle.

Some of the most anticipated events of the holiday season include the lighting of the Christmas tree in downtown Martinsburg, the parade and decorating the light poles. This year the Tree Lighting will be on Friday, November 30th at 6 pm in the square. The parade is Saturday, December 1st at 5:45 pm. If you haven’t yet check out Main Street Martinsburg on Facebook to get a full list of Christmas activities around town. If you and your family are looking for some holiday cheer I suggest you check out these events in Martinsburg.

One of my favorite things to do for Christmas is for my family to cut down our Christmas tree. Each year we look forward to finding that perfect tree. In our area, there is one place that stands out as our “go to” place, Moose Apple Christmas Tree Farm in Berryville, Virginia. It is just a short drive from the Eastern Panhandle and the farm offers a variety of trees in a Hallmark movie-like setting.

I wish all of you a joyous holiday season and my hope is whatever you and your family choose to do this time of year that it is filled with love and joy.
